Job summary

Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute in New Jersey seeks an RN Nurse Manager to lead the rehabilitation unit, directing patient care and nursing staff. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, policy compliance, and staffing optimization to ensure excellence in patient outcomes.

The candidate should have a NJ RN license, BSN or ADN/Diploma, and BLS certification, with a preference for 2+ years in rehab nursing and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• Graduate of a professional nursing program (AND, BSN or Diploma).
• ≥ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum two years of rehab nursing experience and two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and rehabilitation-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit.
• Consult with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies.
• Ensure nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and the preparation of related reports.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
• Implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice across all functions.
• Serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director.

What we’re looking for

• Applicants should have an active New Jersey RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
