Job summary

Community Rehabilitation Hospital South, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Nurse Manager (RN) in acute rehabilitation to lead the Nursing Department under the CNO and leadership team. You will supervise RNs, LPNs/LVNs, CNAs, and unit staff, ensuring policy compliance and budget alignment while advancing the hospital's mission of patient-centered care.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN/ADN or nursing diploma with an active RN license, CPR/BCLS certification, and rehab leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN/ADN program or nursing diploma.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• CRRN preferred.
• Minimum two years of nursing leadership; rehab nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Nursing Department under CNO guidance and ensure compliance with policies and accreditation standards.
• Oversee unit staff including RNs, LPN/LVNs, CNAs, and secretaries; manage staffing and budgets.
• Foster high-quality patient care and regulatory readiness.

Position Summary

The Nurse Manager functions under the direction and supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer and assumes responsibility for the Nursing Department. The Nurse Manager in collaboration with the CNO and leadership team assists to implement, interpret and ensure compliance with policies and procedures including regulatory and accreditation standards. The Nurse Manager supervises the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, RNs, LPN/LVNs, CNAs/Nas and Unit Secretaries. The Nurse Manager is responsible for implementing hospital goals and objectives based on budget parameters. The Nurse manager reinforces the mission and vison of the hospital in all interactions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
• CRRN Certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of previous nursing leadership preferred.
• Minimum of two years of previous rehab nursing experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
