Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care in Maine seeks a Nurse Educator to lead orientation and training for nursing staff, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care in line with policy and regulatory standards.

You will develop education programs, supervise new staff during onboarding, conduct competency assessments, and coordinate Employee Health activities such as vaccines to uphold the facility's care commitments. Strong geriatrics skills and adult learning experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current RN license.
• Three years of clinical experience; long-term care and educator experience preferred.
• Strong clinical nursing skills; geriatrics experience preferred.
• Training in adult learning methods is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement educational programs based on staff needs.
• Supervise and monitor new nursing employees during their orientation.
• Conduct annual competency assessments and evaluate staff performance to identify educational needs.
• Oversee Employee Health Program, including vaccines and immunizations tracking.
