Job summary

Elderwood in Burlington, VT, seeks an RN Educator to lead educational initiatives that support employee development, regulatory compliance and clinical excellence across the facility. You will coordinate orientation, ongoing education, competency validation, and staff development programs with nursing leadership to ensure outstanding resident care.

This role also provides clinical support through scheduled floor rotation and on‑call responsibilities, contributing to a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional nurse with a current NYS license required.
• Experience in in-service education or skills in teaching; at least one year experience in a long‑term health care facility required.
• Baccalaureate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead orientation, ongoing education, competency validation, and staff development programs.
• Schedule, teach, and lead BLS and IV certification programs; maintain equipment and records.
• Provide clinical support through scheduled floor rotation and on-call responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Unit Managers, Nurse Preceptors, and Nurse Consultants; assist with annual clinical skills competency testing.
• Coordinate department‑based orientation programs for new staff; plan regular education sessions.
