Qualifications

• Must be graduate from an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Diploma or ADN required; active Alabama RN license.
• Experience with behavioral health nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to psychiatric patients (children and adolescents).
• Document care using established nursing process.
• Conduct nursing groups and follow program guidelines.
• Administer medications as prescribed.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment; intervene with disturbed patients.
• Handle admissions and discharges.
• Use restraint techniques when necessary.
