Qualifications

• Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintained.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Understanding of inpatient behavioral health and interdisciplinary team processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor patient condition and document care in the EMR.
• Respond to psychiatric crises using de-escalation techniques.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, and the care team.
