Job summary

Noland Health Services, Inc. in Sylacauga, Alabama, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to supervise daily nursing care on night shift (7p-7a).

You will lead LPNs, MACs and CNAs, ensure care plans are followed, and coordinate with physicians and the Director of Nursing to maintain quality resident care. The role requires a valid Alabama RN license, CPR certification, and proficiency with nursing software.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in Alabama.
• Must possess and maintain CPR certification.
• Must possess computer skills with nursing software proficiency.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing functions of LPNs, MACs and CNAs on designated units.
• Provide resident care including assessments, care planning, treatments and medications.
• Communicate with physicians and Director of Nursing regarding resident status.
• Make rounds with physicians and document care and treatment as indicated.
• Review and transcribe physician orders and ensure execution.
• Meet with residents/families and report problems to the Supervisor.
• Complete medication pass audits and report discrepancies.
• Coordinate resident activities with staff and inform of new admissions.
• Report all issues regarding resident care to nursing leadership.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
