Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess and maintain current CPR certification.
• Must possess computer skills and demonstrate the ability to become proficient with appropriate software.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing functions of LPNs, MACs and CNAs on designated units.
• Provide resident care including assessments, care planning, treatments, medications, and other care activities per care plans and physician orders.
• Communicate with physicians and staff about residents' status, admissions, and shift events.
• Make rounds with physicians and document care and treatment as indicated.
• Review and transcribe physician orders and ensure execution.
• Coordinate resident activities and inform staff of new admissions.
