Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is hiring a Registered Nurse for the CDH 4C Medical Intermediate Unit. This full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:30am) includes rotating weekends in a 26-bed, fast-paced intermediate medical/ surgical unit.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois RN license, BLS, and is committed to obtaining a BSN within three years. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, loan forgiveness, 401(k) matching, and lifecycle benefits.

Qualifications

• Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse license is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, plans care, and evaluates outcomes for acutely ill patients.
• Directs care and utilizes assistants appropriately in delivering patient care.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and health team members to coordinate services.
• Participates in governance, committees, and unit projects.
• Documents patient responses and updates care plans based on findings.
• Utilizes evidence to guide nursing practice.
