Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Illinois is seeking a Staff Nurse Inpatient for the 3C Med/Surg Intermediate unit. This full-time night shift 7pm-7:30am with rotating weekends delivers patient-centered care to acutely ill adults, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a BSN, Illinois RN license, and BLS. You will apply evidence-based practice, participate in shared governance, and contribute to high-quality outcomes while adhering to ethics and compliance.

Qualifications

BSN required.
Current State of Illinois RN license.
BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Collect data, identify outcomes, develop and implement an individualized plan, coordinate care, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
Direct care and determine appropriate use of any assistant involved in providing direct patient care.
Collaborate with patient, family, physicians and staff to document the plan and communications.
Participate in shared governance, committees, and unit projects.
Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions and adjust the plan accordingly.
Use evidence-based practice and research findings to guide nursing decisions.
