Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum five years experience in a hospital setting.
• Current Texas Nursing License.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of employment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Ability to adapt to change and apply knowledge of surgical patient care.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Aseptic technique knowledge and implementation.
• Care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
• Excellent teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing staff and hospital activities on assigned night shifts.
• Promote quality care and patient flow management.
• Participate in Grand Rounds and care coordination.
• Assist with chart audits for regulatory compliance.
• Support patient transfers and MOT compliance.
• Serve on hospital committees and escalate administrative decisions when needed.
