Job summary

Sunrise Nursing & Memory Care in Raymore, MO is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse to oversee overnight nursing operations in a skilled nursing and memory care community. You will lead night staff, ensure high-quality care, and respond to emergencies with strong clinical judgment.

Responsibilities include supervising CNAs and LPNs, administering meds, documenting care, coordinating admissions, and maintaining compliance with policies while promoting resident safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience in long-term care, SNF or memory care preferred.
• Charge nurse, nursing supervisor or team leadership experience a plus.
• Strong communication, organization and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead a team and respond to changing resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise night shift nursing staff including CNAs and LPNs.
• Provide skilled nursing care and respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies.
• Assess residents, monitor condition changes, and communicate concerns to physicians.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols.
• Ensure accurate, timely nursing documentation and resident care records.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and care transitions as needed.
• Complete incident reports and follow reporting procedures.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort and quality of life.
• Support compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
• Communicate effectively with staff and provide thorough shift-to-shift reports.

RN Job Responsibilities – Night Shift

As a Night Shift Registered Nurse, you'll help oversee overnight nursing operations and ensure residents receive high-quality care in our skilled nursing and memory care community.

• Assessing residents, monitoring changes in condition, and communicating concerns to physicians and other healthcare providers

• Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols

• Ensuring accurate, timely nursing documentation and resident care records

• Promoting resident safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life

RN Qualifications

We're looking for a nurse with strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and a genuine passion for senior care.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri

• Current BLS/CPR certification

• Long-term care, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or memory care experience preferred

• Previous charge nurse, nursing supervisor, or team leadership experience is a plus

• Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills

• Ability to lead a team and respond effectively to changing resident needs
