Job summary

Sunrise Nursing & Memory Care in Belton, MO is seeking a Night Shift Registered Nurse to oversee overnight nursing operations and ensure residents receive high-quality care in our skilled nursing and memory care community.

You will lead night shift staff (CNAs, LPNs), assess residents, administer medications, document care, and coordinate with physicians to uphold safety and dignity for our residents. Missouri RN license and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Long-term care, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or memory care experience preferred.
• Previous charge nurse, nursing supervisor, or team leadership experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead a team and respond effectively to changing resident needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee night shift nursing operations.
• Lead and supervise night staff including CNAs and LPNs.
• Provide skilled nursing care and respond to resident needs and emergencies.
• Assess residents, monitor changes, and communicate concerns to physicians.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and protocols.
• Ensure accurate nursing documentation and resident care records.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and care transitions.
• Complete incident reports and follow reporting procedures.
• Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life.
• Support compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
• Communicate effectively with staff and provide shift-to-shift reports.

RN Job Responsibilities – Night Shift

As a Night Shift Registered Nurse, you'll help oversee overnight nursing operations and ensure residents receive high-quality care in our skilled nursing and memory care community.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supervising night shift nursing staff, including Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)
• Providing skilled nursing care and responding promptly to resident needs and emergencies
• Assessing residents, monitoring changes in condition, and communicating concerns to physicians and other healthcare providers
• Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Ensuring accurate, timely nursing documentation and resident care records
• Coordinating admissions, discharges, and resident care transitions as needed
• Completing incident reports and following established reporting procedures
• Promoting resident safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life
• Supporting compliance with state regulations, nursing standards, and facility policies
• Communicating effectively with staff and providing thorough shift-to-shift reports

RN Qualifications

We're looking for a nurse with strong clinical judgment, leadership skills, and a genuine passion for senior care.
