Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Float Pool with opportunities to advance via the Clinical Ladder and salary increases based on experience and achievement.

You will perform assessments, create and update care plans with the interdisciplinary team, administer medications, supervise nursing staff, and educate patients and families. An RN license is required and an Associate degree is required; a BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires RN license in good standing and an Associate degree (BSN preferred).
• At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to use basic computer programs and navigate windows-based software.
• Fluent in English (read, verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Perform and document accurate initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications accurately and monitor patient responses.
• Supervise nursing staff to ensure safe, quality patient care and adherence to policies.
• Provide patient and family education about the care plan and treatments.
