Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a PRN registered nurse for the Neonatal ICU in Oklahoma City. The role focuses on delivering patient care using the nursing process and coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license in the state or a compact license, plus BLS. The position emphasizes flexibility, patient rights, and confidentiality in a fast-paced NICU setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure, and must meet state board requirements.
• Physical requirements include pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing and walking.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process for assigned patients.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and direct care givers.
• Maintain professional accountability for nursing duties and overall care coordination.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications as required
