Job summary

Mercy in Ferguson, Missouri is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient care on the Medical-Surgical ICU on a PRN basis, applying the nursing process and ensuring confidentiality and patient rights. This role requires coordination with the care team across departments and accountability for quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN license required in the hiring state and/or with compact licensure in which duties are performed.
• 2+ years ICU experience preferred.

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability for the assigned patients.

1 shift in a 90-day period requirement

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Experience: 2+ years of ICU Experience

Certifications

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
