Job summary

Mercy Joplin’s Birthing Center offers 15 suites designed for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum periods. We have 2 fully equipped OR rooms within the Birthing Center, along with a Level III NICU to offer the region’s best care for premature or critically ill infants.

Seeking experienced NICU/L&D RN's to join our team and deliver compassionate, comprehensive care in a high-volume setting. The role emphasizes nursing process, patient advocacy, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited school.
• Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure, meeting state nursing requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality of information.

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
