Job summary

Mercy is seeking experienced NICU/L&D RNs to deliver patient-centered care in Mercy Joplin’s Birthing Center, featuring 15 labor/delivery/postpartum suites, two OR rooms, and a Level III NICU serving the region. You will apply nursing processes, protect patient rights, and coordinate with other departments while upholding Mercy's mission and standards.

Qualifications

• RN license in state and/or compact licensure required
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required
• Nursing degree from an accredited school required

• Coordinate patient care with other departments and ensure patient rights and confidentiality
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and maintain Mercy Service Standards

Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Mercy Joplin’s Birthing Center offers 15 suites designed for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum periods. We have 2 fully equipped OR rooms within the Birthing Center, along with a Level III NICU to offer the region’s best care for premature or critically ill infants.

Seeking experienced NICU/L&D RNs

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
