Job summary

Mercy is seeking experienced NICU/L&D registered nurses to join the Birthing Center team in Joplin. You will provide direct patient care across labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum, following the nursing process and Mercy Service Standards.

The role emphasizes coordination with multiple departments, protecting patient rights and confidentiality, and upholding clinical excellence in a Level III NICU setting.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• License: Current RN license in applicable state and/or compact licensure per state board requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to NICU/L&D patients using the nursing process.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Maintain professional accountability and ensure Mercy Service Standards in all duties.

Position Details:

Mercy Joplin’s Birthing Center offers 15 suites designed for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum periods. We have 2 fully equipped OR rooms within the Birthing Center, along with a Level III NICU to offer the region’s best care for premature or critically ill infants.

Seeking experienced NICU/L&D RN's

Qualifications:

• Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
• License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
