Mercy seeks experienced L&D nurses in Pittsburg, KS to provide compassionate maternity care. The role uses the nursing process to ensure optimal patient outcomes and coordinates care with other departments.
You will uphold patient rights and confidentiality, maintain Mercy Service Standards, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on safety and quality in the labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum pathways.

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Mercy Joplin’s Birthing Center offers 15 suites designed for labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum periods. We have 2 fully equipped OR rooms within the Birthing Center, along with a Level III NICU to offer the region’s best care for premature or critically ill infants.
Seeking experienced L&D Nurses
Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
This position is eligible for a Sign on Bonus, paid out over 2 years.
