Job summary

Mercy Medical Center is looking for a dedicated NICU nurse for a full-time night shift. The role involves delivering high-quality nursing care in a Level III NICU, collaborating with neonatologists and specialists, and supporting families in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, rotate shifts including weekends and holidays, and utilize advanced equipment while adhering to policies and safety standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current or compact state RN licensure in Iowa.
• Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certified within 6 weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care while ensuring patient comfort.
• Delegates and coordinates patient care at admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Independently delivers nursing care using the Nurse Practice Act and Mercy policies.
• Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
