Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Neuro Stepdown (4A) at St. Rita's Medical Center.

This full-time night position welcomes new grads as well as experienced RNs and involves coordinating patient care across Med-Surg and ICU, with a focus on safety and quality outcomes. The role emphasizes leadership in patient status assessment, care planning, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional nursing care and a safe, therapeutic environment for patients

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state or RN applicant
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS (preferred at hire, must obtain from approved source)
• New Grad and Experienced RNs welcome to apply

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Serves as point of contact for patients’ care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
