Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is hiring a Progressive Care Nurse (RN) for the Neuro Step Down Unit at St. Mary's Hospital on the night shift (7:30pm–8am).

The role centers on delivering high-quality nursing care, coordinating with the care team, and developing care plans to improve patient outcomes. Requirements include an RN license, BSN preferred, and 1 year of RN experience; ACLS/BLS certifications are preferred with ACLS due within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required).
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS and/or ACLS certification preferred at hire; ACLS required within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments and update plans of care.
• Coordinate patient care across hospital departments.
• Serve as patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement.
• Administer medications safely per policies; perform other duties as assigned.
