Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is currently seeking an RN for a Neuro PCU assignment in Morgantown, WV. This 13-week, full-time night shift (7 PM–7:30 AM) role requires a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, an active license, and BLS certification.

The unit has 20 beds (14 floor, 6 step-down), telemetry, EPIC charting, and support from charge nurses and 24/7 respiratory therapy. ACLS/NIHSS preferred; travel weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Care for Neuro PCU patients with 1:3-6 ratios depending on unit.
• Use EPIC for charting and orders.

Description:The unit consists of 20 beds, including 14 floor and 6 step‑down beds.

Patient ratios include 1:3 for step‑down patients and 1:5-6 for floor patients.

Common diagnoses include neurosciences, deep brain stimulators, strokes, seizures, surgical/post-operative spines, and neurological disorders.

Charge nurses are available 24/7.

There are nurse aides on the unit, with ratios of 1:7-10.

Respiratory therapy is available around the clock, and nurses are not required to have ventilator experience.

Telemetry is present on the unit, but nurses are not responsible for reading strips; this is managed by monitor techs.

Travelers may be required to work every other weekend or three weekend shifts per schedule.

Holiday work is part of the traveler's responsibilities.

Floating to other units may occur as needed.

Scrub colors are a combination of white and royal blue.

Charting is done using an EPIC system.
