Job summary

Beacon Health Options in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a professional Registered Nurse for full-time day shift (7am–7:30pm) with a 36-hour work week. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to provide patient-centered care across the health continuum.

The RN must hold an active Michigan license, BLS certification, and a nursing degree (AAS/BSN/RN Diploma); BSN may be required within six years. The role emphasizes adherence to ANA standards and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Michigan.
• BLS certification current within 1 month (30 days) of hire date.
• Associates of Applied Science in Nursing or BSN or RN Diploma at start date.
• BSN must be completed within six years of start date (grandfathered for pre-2015 hires).

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with patient and family, participates in mutual goal setting based on nursing assessment and diagnosis.
• Diagnoses, treats and evaluates the human response to health problems/needs.
• Evaluates outcomes of the nursing plan and revises it as necessary.
• Assesses, detects, monitors and prevents complications associated with health situations or treatment plans.
• Notifies physician of patient condition and documents actions.
• Ensures pain is assessed, treated, and documented; adheres to pain management policies.
• Delegates to licensed and unlicensed personnel based on clinical nursing judgment.
