Cynet Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical assignment at a Level 1 Trauma Center. The role supports oncology, general surgery and medical patients in a teaching hospital.

The RN will work 12-hour day shifts for an 8-week assignment, with a typical RN: 1:5 ratio, potential float to other floors, and EPIC EMR usage. Illinois license, BLS and NIHSS are required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Active RN license in Illinois.
• Minimum 1 year med-surgical experience.
• BLS and NIHSS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Chest tubes, post-op dressings, ortho/trauma experience expected.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience is a plus.

• Monitor telemetry, administer meds, and coordinate with team.
• Float to other floors as needed and rotate weekends/holidays.

Description: This position involves working in a medical-surgical environment.The facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center and a Teaching Client with a Magnet Designation.There are 273 beds available, including 36 for general medical-surgical patients.Patient types include oncology, general surgery, and medical.The typical patient ratio is RN: 1:5, with the possibility of 1:6 (the 6th patient may rotate).Support on the unit includes a receptionist/HUC during the day shift and a charge nurse who may have a patient assignment during night shifts.Phlebotomy services are available, along with an IV/VAT team until 10 PM.Respiratory therapy and hospitalist services are available 24/7.Telemetry monitoring is centralized with techs.The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC.IV pumps and medication dispensing systems are in place for medication administration.Floating to other medical/surgical floors may be required.Weekend rotations occur every other weekend.Holiday expectations involve a rotating schedule.Time off requests are approved through management.Scrub color for nurses is navy blue.CNA staff wear teal scrubs.
