Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Travel RN for the Neuro MS unit in Gainesville, FL. The role is a 13-week contract on a 7:00 AM–7:00 PM shift (12-hour shift). Active RN license and Med Surg experience are required.

The unit supports RNs, CNAs and sitters with patient ratios of 5–6 per nurse at night and uses Meditech EMR. New equipment and team-focused care characterize this assignment.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 2 years of experience in Med Surg.
• Active RN license required for Florida.
• BLS Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care and medical patient management.
• Manage blood products and TPN administration.
• Assist with care for neuro MS patients and general unit needs.
• Note: chemotherapy tasks are not required of travelers.

Description:This position is for a Travel RN in the Client specialty.The shift is from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.The contract duration is 13 weeks.This unit has a total of 44 beds.The staffing includes a charge nurse, RNs, CNAs, and sitters.Patient ratios during night shifts are 5-6 patients per 1 nurse with PCT support.Equipment used includes PCA, SCD, O2, and suction.The EMR system in use is Meditech.Typical procedures performed include post-operative care and medical patient management.Blood products and TPN administration are part of the responsibilities.Chemotherapy is administered, but travelers are not expected to perform this task.Ideal candidates are caring, compassionate, and possess critical thinking skills.The dress code requires royal blue scrubs.This unit is recognized for its outstanding care and team performance.Candidates will be part of a supportive and experienced team.New equipment and technology are available for use.Flexible scheduling options may be available.
