Job summary

MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN for the Neonatal and Pediatric Critical Care Float Unit. The role provides safe, cost-effective patient care across diverse neonatal and pediatric cases using the nursing process. The position is full-time, days 12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30).

A $10,000 signing bonus is available to external hires, with qualifying employment requirements. Candidates must hold CA RN license, BLS, NRP, PALS, and BSN (or waiver).

Qualifications

• 3+ years nursing experience in NICU or PICU.
• California RN license required.
• BLS, NRP and PALS certifications required.
• BSN degree required unless waived by NEC.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program as approved by NEC.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, cost-effective patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver care within the neonatal/pediatric critical care float unit scope.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes.

Pay Range*: $50.74/hr - $77.79/hr

Bonus:$10,000 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary

The RN, Registered Nurse 12-Hr provides safe, cost-effective patient care through the health experience, according to established standards utilizing the nursing process, within the scope of practice of Registered Nursing, for the Neonatal/Pediatric Critical Care Float Unit at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience:

• The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of current nursing experience in NICU or PICU in an acute care hospital.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

• A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California is required.
• A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR & AED) certification
• A current American Heart Association NRP certification
• A current American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is also required unless waived by Nurse Executive Council review.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program unless otherwise approved by the Nursing Executive Council (NEC). Approved accrediting bodies include: ACEN and CCNE others must be approved by NEC
