Job summary

MemorialCare Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Long Beach Medical Center location. This 12-hour night shift role offers a competitive pay range and a signing bonus for external hires meeting employment requirements.

The RN will provide safe, cost-effective patient care in a surgical inpatient department, following nursing standards and using the nursing process. California RN licensure and BSN are preferred with BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of pre-employment drug screening.
• Completion of pre-employment criminal background reference check.
• Completion of pre-employment health evaluation including TB screening and annual or bi-annual re-evaluation as indicated by Employee Health.
• One-year minimum experience in pediatric and/or women’s hospital preferred.
• The RN must be able to comply with the every other weekend work commitment as well as be available to work and be scheduled any day of the week.

Pay Range*: $50 - $80/hour

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. Minimum Requirements/Work Experience

Education / Licensure / Certification – Required Prior to Patient Care Assignment

• BSN required unless waived by nurse executive council review.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in California.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required for all areas.
• Completion of unit orientation and clinical competency validation.
• Additional Certifications – required within 6 months of hire (or transfer into)department
