Job summary

MemorialCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Invasive Cardiology department at Long Beach Medical Center. The RN will provide safe, patient-centered care in the Cath Lab, require a BSN and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS). Preferred qualifications include two years in Critical Care Nursing and a minimum of one year in Cath Lab. Responsibilities include circulating/scrubbing procedures and developing patient care plans. A signing bonus of $10,000 is available for new external hires.

Qualifications

• The RN must comply with every other weekend work commitment.

Location: Long Beach

Status: Full Time

Shift: Days (0630-1700)

Pay Range: $50.00 to $74.98/hr

Bonus: $10,000 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary

The experienced RN, Registered Nurse provides safe, cost‑effective patient care through the health experience, according to established standards utilizing the nursing process, within the scope of practice of Registered Nursing, for Invasive Cardiology (Cath Lab) at MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center.

This RN will be responsible for circulating and scrubbing all procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, 10‑hour shifts, Mon‑Fri with on‑call after hours, weekends and holidays.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications/Work Experience

• Two years Critical Care Nursing experience preferred
• One year Cath Lab, Vascular Lab and/or EP Lab experience preferred.
• Completion of pre‑employment drug screening.
• Completion of pre‑employment criminal background reference check.
• Completion of pre‑employment health evaluation including TB screening and annual or bi‑annual re‑evaluation as indicated by Employee Health.
• One‑year minimum experience in pediatric and/or women’s hospital preferred.
• The RN must be able to comply with every other weekend work commitment as well as be available to work and be scheduled any day of the week.

Education/Licensure/Certification

• BSN required unless waived by nurse executive council review.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program unless otherwise approved by the Nursing Executive Council (NEC).*
• *Approved accrediting bodies include: ACEN and CCNE others must be approved by NEC.
• California Registered Nursing (RN) License required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Card required
