Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN for an 8-week Medical/Surgical Tele assignment in Washington, DC. This day shift role requires a current RN license in the state, 2 years of Medical/Surgical Tele experience, and NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

Cerner experience is required, BSN preferred. Responsibilities include comprehensive admissions and ongoing patient assessments, with emphasis on age-appropriate care and safe clinical practice.

  • Deliver care to patients competently, compassionately and efficiently.
  • Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments with thorough documentation.
  • Complete admission assessments within policy timelines.

License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district

Certifications: NIHSS, BLS & ACLS Required

Must-Have:

  1. Med Tele Acute Care Inpatient Experience - Required: 1 Year
  2. 2 Year Cerner experience required
  3. Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
  4. BSN - Highly desired
  5. Ability to complete a Telemetry rhythm interpretation test prior to start
  6. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5-6.

Description:Fulfills the needs of the patients, families, and community by performing a variety of patient care functions and tasks in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements.Delivers care to patients in a competent, capable, caring, and efficient manner.Applies knowledge of growth and development over the life span necessary to provide age-appropriate care.Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients' needs.Demonstrates an understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients.Makes initial assessments and determines appropriate nursing needs of assigned patients, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.Performs initial and ongoing assessments on all assigned patients, including a review of systems, as evidenced by appropriate documentation.Completes admission assessments in the time frame established according to policy and procedures.
