Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an RN specialized in Orthopedics for a night shift on our MS Orthopedics unit. The contract lasts 20 weeks with 12-hour shifts and a patient census around 37 daily.

Requires 2+ years orthopedic experience, active RN license, BCLS and NIHSS; ACLS preferred. Candidates may be asked to float as needed and cover weekends.

Qualifications

• BCLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic and spine patient care in a fast-paced unit
• Manage pain and monitor post-surgical patients
• Float to other medical–surgical units as staffing requires
• Maintain nurse-patient ratio goals and patient safety standards

Description:RTO after booking is not allowed.Any call-offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellation.The unit will accept contracts of 20 weeks or longer up to February 27, 2027.The average daily census is 37 patients.The unit has 39 rooms and beds.The patient population includes orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical patients.All COVID patients, unless in ICU, are taken care of in the respective units.Nurses are expected to manage pain effectively for orthopedic and spine patients.Schedule options include block scheduling for flexibility.Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.Nurses may be required to float to other medical-surgical units to meet staffing needs.The nurse-patient ratio is expected to be 5-6:1, flexing up to 7:1 in extreme cases.No holiday RTO will be approved.Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty.
