Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN for a 13-week travel assignment in North Carolina, focusing on Medical-Surgical care with orthopedic patients. The role requires a valid RN license, BLS, and at least two years of nursing experience, including travel experience.

The schedule features three 12-hour night shifts (7 PM–7:30 AM) with every other weekend off possible. Charge RN experience is preferred, and orientation includes an EKG compliance exam.

Description:This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience.Previous travel experience is also required.The schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is required.No call is needed for this position.Floating to different units may be required as needed.Registered Nurses will be expected to work Charge RN shifts as needed.The unit provides care to orthopedic patients and medical surgical patients.Telemetry monitoring is available on the unit.The department includes a physical therapy gym on-site.This allows patients to receive physical therapy without leaving the unit.High volume patient populations include those who have undergone total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties.Moderate volume patient populations include other types of surgical procedures and medical patients on 24-hour observation.The unit has a daily census of approximately 28 patients.Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.All Registered Nurses must have experience with an electronic medical record system.CPM and Buck's Traction will occasionally be used in the unit.Candidates must pass a compliance EKG exam.Modules will be required and are completed during orientation.No local candidates within a specified radius will be considered.
