Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks an RN - Med Surg for a 13-week assignment in Kansas. Active RN license, 1 year inpatient acute care, and BLS/NIHSS certifications are required. Shift is 10am–10pm, 12-hour shifts. Responsibilities include PIV and central line care, EKG monitoring, wound care, and patient safety.

The unit has 24 beds with a staff of 7; night shift staffing is similar. EMR Meditech is used for documentation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care experience.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• PIV insertion, management, and removal.
• Central line management and removal.
• Foley insertion, management, and removal.
• NG tube management and removal.
• Drain management and removal.
• Wound care and ostomy management.
• Continuous bladder irrigation.
• Chest tube management.

Description:This position offers guaranteed hours preferred.The unit has a total of 24 beds and a staff of 7.The staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 4 nurses on day shifts,As well as 2 patient care technicians and 1 unit clerk.Night shift staffing includes similar levels.Patient ratios are set at 6:1.Equipment used includes BLS, NIHSS, and EMR systems, specifically Meditech.
