Job summary

Cynet Health seeks an experienced RN for a Medical-Surgical unit in El Paso. This 13-week contract runs 07:00–19:00, with 12-hour shifts and a 34-bed unit staffed by 56 team members. Patient ratios are 1:6, with no call requirements.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS certification. Wound care, chest tube/port-a-cath experience, IV starts, Foley and NGT management are preferred.

  • Minimum 1 year RN experience in appropriate unit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care in a Medical-Surgical unit.
  • Maintain patient care through 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
  • Operate wound vacs, suction devices, IV pumps and tube feeding pumps.

Description:This contract position is for an RN in a Medical-Surgical unit.The shift is from 07:00 to 19:00.There will be no call requirements.The unit has 34 beds and a staff of 56.Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 6 patients.Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 6 nurses, and 3 patient care technicians per shift.The types of equipment used include wound vacs, trachs, suction devices, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps.Candidates preferred for this role should have experience with chest tube management and port-a-cath access and de-access competencies.Wound care and tube feeding are typical procedures performed on this unit.The ideal candidate will be a team player and accountable for their responsibilities.The designated dress code includes galaxy blue scrubs with no visible tattoos.The unit follows specific standards of care and clean narcotic administration practices.This position offers a competitive work environment with opportunities for advancement.
