Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Medical Surgical/Oncology RN for night shifts in Charleston, WV. The 13-week assignment focuses on adult oncology patients, telemetry, and palliative care with a 12-hour shift pattern.

The RN must have at least 2 years of experience, an active State RN license (compact accepted), and BLS certification. Oncology experience preferred; ability to adapt to a fast-paced unit and maintain patient safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience on a Medical Surgical/Oncology unit.
• BLS required; chemotherapy administration preferred.
• State RN license required; Compact license acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult Oncology/Med Surg patients on night shift (12-hour).
• Maintain patient safety with high-acuity care and high patient ration (5-6:1).
• Cover every other weekend and possible unit floating as needed.
• Vaccinations: flu required; COVID-19 not required; obtain references.

Description:This position is for a Medical Surgical/Oncology RN working night shifts.The unit provides care for adult patients battling cancer, palliative care, and family education regarding oncological processes.Patients may also include those with urology and telemetry needs.The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 5-6:1 during night shifts.The position requires every other weekend work and the possibility of floating within scope to meet facility needs.Blocked schedule requests can be accommodated.Flu vaccination is required, with medical exemptions accepted.COVID-19 vaccination is not required.References from 2 managers or charge nurses within the past 2 years are required.Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
