Job summary

Cynet Health in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse in Med Surg for a 13-week assignment on nights. The RN will float across medical-surgical units, handle drips and post-op care, and maintain patient safety with a 1:4/1:5 ratio.

Active Iowa license, BLS, and at least 24 months Med Surg experience are required. Travelers welcome; scrubs must be black or blue; electronic medical record experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license at time of submission.
• Minimum of 24 months of current medical surgical experience.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• The RN will float across medical surgical units in a surgical specialty unit.
• Manage a variety of drips and medications with patient safety in mind.
• Maintain patient care standards with 1:4/5 day ratios and 1:5/6 night ratios.

Description:The Registered Nurse will be working in a surgical specialty unit.The position requires floating across medical surgical units.Patient types include all surgical cases except ortho and spine.Patient ratios are 1:4/5 during the day and 1:5/6 at night.The unit has a bed size of 46.Scrubs must be black or blue.Experience with electronic medical record systems is required.The RN will be responsible for various drips and medications.Professional references from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the last 24 months are preferred.This position involves a holiday rotation requirement.Travelers will be accepted, including first-time travelers.
