Job summary

Description:The position entails caring for patients in medical, transitional care, hospice, alternative care as well as outpatient infusions and wound care.Ability to utilize rapid response/code teams is essential.Experience with peripheral line care and management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions/PPE is required.The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts, rotating between days and nights, and will be expected to work every third weekend.Weekends will involve both day and night shifts unless straight night shifts are preferred.No more than 10 days of requested time off per assignment is allowed.The unit predominantly cares for adults and geriatric patients, with diagnoses including pneumonia, COPD, and post-operative recovery from hip and knee surgeries.The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services.Candidates with previous charge experience are preferred, and first-time travelers are accepted.Experience with charting systems, specifically Epic, is required.
