Description:This position offers guaranteed hours.The unit has 27 beds.Staffing includes 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 5-6 RNs, and 3 CNAs on day shift.Night shift has 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 5-6 RNs, and 3 CNAs.Patient ratios are typically 1:5-6.The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.Typical procedures performed include general surgery, echocardiograms, EKGs, colonoscopies, transesophageal echocardiograms, EEGs, and wound vac management.Equipment used on the unit includes Welch Allyn vital sign machines, glucometers, and Polar Ice.Dress code for RNs and LPNs is grey scrubs, while PCTs and CNAs wear navy scrubs.There are opportunities for resourcing, precepting, and working with students.The environment fosters coordinated care with case management, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy available on the same floor.Daily multidisciplinary rounds are held to coordinate patient care.
