Job summary

Atrium Health Navicent is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Mother/Baby Unit. This full-time role involves direct patient care in a regional perinatal center, with a focus on safe, evidence-based practices for mothers and newborns.

The RN will participate in governance, deliver nursing care using the nursing process, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes. BLS and an active RN license are required, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Current RN license with or without multi-state privileges; BLS certification.
Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patient/family involvement.
Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per clinical protocols and procedures.
