Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a qualified RN for a Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum assignment in Topeka, KS. The 13-week shift focuses on safe, evidence-based care for laboring patients and their newborns.

Responsibilities include high-risk patient management, lactation support, C-sections, postpartum education, and discharge planning in a busy unit. Must have RN license and required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and administer antihypertensives/anticoagulants.

Description:Provide care in the Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum specialty.Responsibilities include care of laboring patients with high-risk conditions.Manage patients with pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and other conditions for gestations of 34 weeks and greater.Perform C-sections and assist with external cephalic versions.Care for neonates, adolescents, infants, and adults in a high-risk labor and delivery unit.Support breastfeeding and offer lactation support to new parents.Conduct discharge teaching and provide education on car seat safety.Assess and manage patients for postpartum hemorrhage and other complications.Administer medications including antihypertensives and anticoagulants.Utilize various monitoring and medical equipment as needed in the unit.Conduct triage of obstetrical patients and assist with both vaginal and C-section deliveries.Float to like units as required based on facility needs.Participate in interdisciplinary support for optimal patient care.Document care and patient progress per facility protocols.
