Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for the Mother Baby unit on a 13-week night assignment in Colorado. The role involves caring for postpartum patients and high-risk obstetric populations, including antepartum context with fetal monitoring experience.

Candidates must have RN licensure, BLS/NRP certifications, and be able to perform various clinical tasks such as magnesium, insulin, and heparin drips, as well as assist with phototherapy and breastfeeding support.

Responsibilities

• Care for postpartum patients not requiring ICU care.

• Support breastfeeding and parental education.
• Chart and document in required systems; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Care for 1:3 couplets or up to 6 patients depending on unit needs.

• Call required as per unit needs.
• Weekend coverage required as per unit needs.

Description:Position involves caring for postpartum patients who do not require ICU level of care.Candidates will work with a high-risk patient population, including antepartum patients with fetal monitoring experience.Newborn patients who do not require NICU level of care will also be cared for.This includes patients weighing 2000 grams and above, late preterm infants, and substance-exposed newborns.Candidates will assist with phototherapy and other support tasks in the postpartum setting.

Candidates must be experienced in administering magnesium drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, and PCA & PCEA pumps.Support with breastfeeding for postpartum patients is also expected.Daily patient care will include various assessments and educational support for new parents.Staff will typically care for 1:3 couplets, or up to 6 patients, depending on unit needs.

In this role, you will work alongside interdisciplinary teams which include various support services.Candidates must be skilled in charting and documentation within the required systems.Patient ages will range from infants to adults.Candidates should be prepared for various clinical situations relevant to the specialty.

Regular communication and collaboration with other healthcare providers are essential.The role requires occasional floating to an antepartum unit with required fetal monitoring experience.Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care for both mothers and newborns.
