Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for the Mother Baby unit on a 13-week night shift assignment. This role involves 12-hour shifts, rounding on newborns, and collaborating with the care team to support mother and baby discharge planning.

VN licensure, BLS/NRP/NCC_EFM/ACLS certifications, and Epic charting experience are required. Nurses may float to NICU level II and participate in family-centered care and education.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.
• License in the applicable state.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, NCC_EFM, ACLS.
• Must-Have: Epic charting system experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical reviews and provide patient care in the Mother-Baby unit.
• Work night shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week.
• Float within skill set including NICU to care for level II nursery patients.
• Administer assessments and provide education related to breastfeeding and postpartum care.
• Utilize IV management, medication administration, and newborn assessments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Discharge education and safe transition planning for families.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols throughout patient care processes.
• Maintain accurate medical records and document patient interactions effectively.
• Provide support and education for families regarding special care instructions and newborn care.
• Engage in ongoing education and skill development within the nursing specialty.
