Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced RN for a Mother Baby unit assignment in Denver. This role requires performing nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in line with state practice standards.

The nurse will assess health data, plan and implement care, and provide patient teaching and counseling. May float to other departments and be on-call as needed. BLS and state RN license are required; ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate.

Qualifications

• RN license required in the state of practice.
• BLS certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit.
• 13 weeks duration; day shift.
• Must be able to perform 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent nursing functions per accepted practice standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Evaluate health status through ongoing health data collection.
• Provide health teaching and counseling to patients and families.
• Deliver therapy and treatment; delegate or supervise as needed.
• Document and communicate according to guidelines; may float between departments.

Description:

Performs health teaching and health counseling.

Provides therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation with, delegation to, supervision of, or teaching of others.

Executes delegated medical functions.

Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.

Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.

Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.

Uses resources as needed.

Promotes mission, vision, and values of the organization, and abides by service behavior standards.

Performs other duties as assigned.

May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need.

May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
