ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse, Med-Surg Telemetry (Night Shift) in Philadelphia, PA.

The assignment is a 13-week contract in the Med-Surg Telemetry unit serving both adolescent and adult patients, with stroke and general post-surgical care. Expect 4x12 hour shifts with every-other weekend and Epic charting throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• 2 years Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required.
• Experience in a community hospital setting preferred.
• Teaching hospital and Level II Trauma facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Conduct assessments and monitor patient vital signs and conditions.
• Manage cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management.
• Provide post-operative care for patients post-cardiac procedures.
• Perform blood product administration, central line management, and IV maintenance.
• Utilize heparin protocols and manage non-titratable cardiac/vasoactive drips.
• Handle feeding tube management and continuous bladder irrigation.
• Provide care for patients with neurological conditions including stroke and TBI.
• Administer wound care and utilize wound vacs as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Med-Surg Telemetry unit, serving both adolescent and adult patients. Common patient populations include stroke patients and those recovering from general Med-Surg post-surgical procedures. The average daily census on the unit is approximately 50 patients. The RN will utilize the Epic charting system while managing various clinical needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Conduct assessments and monitor patient vital signs and conditions.
• Manage cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Pennsylvania RN license is required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications are required.
