Job summary

Avita Health System seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the MedSurg Department at our Ontario, Ohio location. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, ensuring continuity of care across shifts and supervising nursing staff. Patient and family teaching and advocacy are integral to the role.

Required: Ohio RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS. Preferred: 2+ years nursing experience, telemetry, and PALS certification for charge-trained nurses.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification.
• Two (2) or more years of nursing experience (preferred).
• Telemetry experience (preferred).
• PALS certification (for charge trained nurses, preferred).

Responsibilities

We’re currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MedSurg Department at our Ontariolocation.

Position Overview

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients within the nursing unit. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the patients between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by nursing assistants, LPNs and supportive staff members. Participates in patient and family teaching. Maintains role as patient advocate with a focus on the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

Required

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification.

Preferred

• Two (2) or more years of previous nursing experience.
• Previous telemetry experience.
• PALS certification. (For charge trained nurses.)
