Job summary

Avita Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Surgery Department at Avita Ontario Hospital in Ontario, OH. This role provides direct patient care across pediatric to geriatric populations in the surgical environment and collaborates with surgeons and anesthesia teams.

Ideal candidates will have OR experience, Ohio RN licensure, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications. The position is full-time, on-site, with opportunities for professional growth and a supportive

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric populations in the surgical setting.
• Communicate with surgeon and anesthesia staff about patient condition.
• Maintain surgical equipment and inventory; obtain supplies for cases.
• Assess operating room for equipment functioning and readiness; support the team during procedures.
• Monitor, position and assist patient during the procedure.

Position Overview

Provides direct patient care to pediatric through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesia staff continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. Assesses operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.
