Job summary

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is seeking an RN for the NP3 Medicine Observation Unit on the night shift (36 hours/week). The RN coordinates and delivers nursing care, integrates plans with support services, and demonstrates leadership in a 9-bed unit.

Qualifications

  • Plan, coordinate, and direct nursing care for assigned patients.
  • Coordinate medical plan with support departments and evaluate nursing interventions.

Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center stands as a distinguished institution, encompassing a 420-bed teaching hospital, a dedicated trauma center, a neonatal intensive care unit, and a renowned geriatrics center. Our NP3 Medicne Observation Unit is a 9-bed private unit. The RN / Registered Nurse is responsible for independently planning, coordinating, and directing those activities essential to the provision of quality nursing care for assigned patients; coordinating the medical plan provided by support service departments relating to the assigned patients; identifying and implementing nursing interventions and evaluates results; and demonstrating developing leadership qualities.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (Required)
  • Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) (Preferred)
  • Applicants with an associate degree in nursing will be considered. Per nursing guidelines, must matriculate into a Bachelor of Nursing program.
  • RN - Registered Nurse License (Required)
  • CPR - Basic CPR (Required)
  • Minimum six (6) months of nursing experience (Required)
  • 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred) - Other ICU - BICU required

Salary Range: Minimum 39.64/hour - Maximum 61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
