Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical Unit. You will provide safe, compassionate care to adult patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions, and collaborate with the care team to coordinate effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities include assessments, plan development, medication administration, and patient education. You will follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and document all care in the EMR system while supporting a positive team

Qualifications

• Grad of an Accredited Program in nursing required.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license required.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and therapies per standards of care.
• Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Document care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and discharge needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to coordinate care.
