Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System – Olathe Hospital is seeking a dedicated RN for Medical/Surgical/Telemetry on nights. You will apply nursing processes, coordinate care, and provide safe, compassionate treatments to diverse patient populations.

You will lead patient assessments, participate in care planning, and support a multidisciplinary team while ensuring adherence to nursing standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Kansas or compact state
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CPR/BLS certification current or within 14 days of start

Responsibilities

• Adheres to medication safety policies and order writing standards
• Answer calls, triage patient care, and assess patient needs
• Demonstrates leadership and coordinates health care services with the team
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop plans of care
• Provide direct nursing care including chemotherapy, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed
• Educate patients and families using available resources
• Maintain patient safety and a therapeutic, holistic approach to care
